Sub‑contract 2 – Track Renewal 2024 (RPM)

In 2024, SWIETELSKY carried out track renewal works on the railway line between Slagelse and Korsør as part of Sub‑contract 2. The project covered the renewal of 14 km of double‑track railway and was executed under strict requirements for quality, railway safety and coordination, as works were performed with adjacent tracks remaining in operation.

The scope included mechanised ballast cleaning, installation of a new track bed and stress regulation of the track. Insulated glued joints were installed, turnouts were adjusted, and a wide range of materials was supplied as part of the project. In addition, the works comprised cable relocations, construction of level crossings, and installation of fencing, stairways and pedestrian access areas.

The project also involved disposal of surplus materials, final track alignment, and regulation of embankments, ditches and slopes. Associated overhead line works were carried out as an integrated part of the scope to ensure reliable railway operations and overall infrastructure coherence.
The project further demonstrates SWIETELSKY’s experience in efficiently delivering track renewal works on busy railway sections, where safety, precision and well‑coordinated logistics are essential.
